Question is, how did you end up browsing this site??

Flumberrysauce Wed 05-Jan-05 12:32:53

Well the Cloud Collector for instance. $300. Say it takes a day to make it for example. Only about $4 an hour. Which has gotta be only £2.something an hour, not to mention the cost of materials.

I wouldn't work for that.

It IS art.

SantaFio2 Wed 05-Jan-05 12:35:52

come visit me ks, we can sell some of your stuff in the next "much posher" town

Flumberrysauce Wed 05-Jan-05 12:38:10

You will probably find you won't make mush money though.

I used to make beautiful tapestry cushions but to make it worthwhile I sold them for £3-400. Did sell some but only round home counties where money no object for beautiful home environment.

Well you can buy tapestry cushions made in developing countries where they don't really pay for time for £40.

But papier mache, now that is something else. Post a piccy, you could sell them in the little boutiques in Wimbledon village and places like that.

OMG it's hideous! People buy that and display it in their homes?

Sorry if anyone here likes it or is the artist.

SantaFio2 Wed 05-Jan-05 12:57:22

ks I think your work is lovely

TheDragon I think thats the thing about art and 'craft' is that it is induvidual and not everyone will like it. You either appreciate it or you dont. It either floats your boat or it doesnt, like everything I suppose!

SantaFio2 Wed 05-Jan-05 12:58:16

Oh, absolutely Fio. Life would be very dull if we all liked the same stuff.

My tastes are generally very plain & simple but I did fall in love in Spain with an extremely tacky bottle of sangria in the shape of a duck with a silver beak....
