Where is good for ordering fabric online?

I want to buy some Christmas themed fabric in cotton/polycotton to make some drawstring gift bags. I will also need ribbon. Does anyone know a reliable supplier of fabric? I won't want loads of any one pattern so it needs to be somewhere that deals in smallish quantities. Thanks.

Have you tried eBay? I usually get my fabric from eBay sellers, I have seen quite a lot of Christmas fabric on there too.

Plug for my local fabric shop - www.creativequilting.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d9.html I've had lots of fabric from there and you can specify how much you want so no need to buy loads.

Thank you. I probably won't use Ebay as I am not fond of it. I will take a look at the other site.

I second Wool Warehouse and have also used handicraft agnes recently. Very quick delivery and lovely fabric. Dalston Mill and Flamingo Fabrics look good too but I haven't used them yet.

I use Wool Warehouse a lot for fabric and yarn and they have a good range and fast delivery. I've also ordered from Higgs & Higgs and Doughty's recently who also had fast delivery.

Abakhan, Plush Addict, Frumble and Dalton Mills. I recommend all of these for quilting weight cotton and polycotton.

This place is great for ribbon

theribbonroom.co.uk/

They do gingham gift bags too so you could buy those and decorate with applique etc which might be cheaper than buying Christmas fabric in bulk to make bags.

I actually ended up taking my DM out for lunch and going somewhere that sells fabric so I have now got some. I was going to buy ribbon but my DM says she has a big box of it at home so I will get that from her next time I see her.

poundfabrics.co.uk/collections/christmas-fabrics

I’ve used pound fabrics a fair bit and they are reasonable but postage is costly
