I am in chaos here with the extension going on . I have moved my stash to it's new home but it is in complete turmoil!!!!
I have been trying to keep afloat in the school hols but my crafting has taken a nose dive.
I am attempt to "be prepared" does anyone fancy joining me in a weekly challenge for Xmas cards and maybe even a few pressies?

You're in chaos, your stash is in turmoil and you're suggesting a weekly challenge...?

I am seriously uninspired to get out my cardy stash - I will try, but am happier to play with beads for a pressie challenge

LOL....but I need to get organised and feel a sense of achievement..it's not like I can go and help plumb in a bathroom or plaster a wall....only had the roof finished today so it will be ages before I need to get out a brush and start painting!!!

It's 16 weeks to Xmas and for the last few years I have thought about organisng a crafty party to raise funds for our Down Syndrome group...and that is as far as it has ever got. If I wait until the extension is done I will be up 'til midnight Christmas Eve again!!

How about a general "crafty Xmas preparation" challenge where we can update achievements, show each other ideas and generally push each other along...I so NEED pushing.

That sounds good. I'm happy to make something beady to raise funds for your group Dingle, if you think it may generate some interest

I am no good with cards but am up for a crafty challenge otherwise! And am also happy to donate to your group if you do need something to sell at all, just have a look at my things

Let the challenge commence!!!!!!
whizzz - I found a couple of rather nice beady bracelets and was wondering whether you'd want them for the beads. 2 are glass and one is pewter, they were presents from a friend of mine and I never wear them. I'm sure you could use the beads etc somewhere. Let me know x

Whizzz, look here for 2 gorgeous beady Christmasthings. It's P3 of the Christmas stuff if it doesn't link immediately. It would keep you beading for months!

I think a general "christmas challenge" is good. I guess crafty people do lots of different things for Christmas, not just cards.

I'm in the process of moving my craft stuff out of the spare room and into mine. At the same time as BabyDragon moves in the opposite direction oddly enough!

Gingermonkey - I am happy to take anything beady off your hands LOL . I could maybe turn the beads into something else for you if you are not a bracelet-person ??

Soupy - like those ! I have a pattern for a beaded star which I did a trial run on but I need some evenly sized beads to make it look tidy

OK - before next Tuesday, I will make a tidy version of a star & maybe another seed beady something

Didn't want to hijack Biglips thread so I thought I say thanks for the comments here.

Thank you girls - I live in hope that I one day I can spend more time crafting but to a certain extent I am still fighting to get DD supported at mainstream school and it has completely drained me-what with that and the extension going on and like a mad thing I am starting a part time job tomorrow supporting a little 3 yr old boy with Down Syndrome!!! I just don't have enough hours in my day..or the energy to do anything!!LOL

I so need a boost to get myself motivated again, a bit of a "purpose" IYKWIM.
I was thinking about the fundraiser again-thank you for the offers of support. If I could get enough stock-or even designs made up to take orders, I might take you up! Whizzz-you stuff is all quite small so I could do sale or return OR take orders. Gingermonkey- if I could organise something, would you be happy to send a few samples for sale/return-how much would postage be an issue, do you have a flyer/price list....?

Goodness so many questions and I should be crafting! Hubby is putting the kids to bed tonight and we are having a take away , feeling so drained... I need some papmering and an early night...but I also want to get some crafting done!! LOL!

Dingle, that would be no prob at all. Just let me know, contact me either here, my blog or etsy (oooh, look at me with all my contact options!) I don't have a price list printed up but I can email you prices and they are only light so postage isn't a prob. And it's for a good cause so I wouldn't expect you to pay for it (that'd just be really tight!!!)
