What flower is it? Painting ( photo )

I love painting flowers, and this is my latest one.. now I know what flower it is based upon.. but I have had a few different opinions from friends and family.

I know my style is rather abstract, but i'd be interested to know if anyone can guess what flower it is meant to be? x
