Finished knitting my Apple Tree Blanket!

At 1am today!

Pic on my profile. It's not so insipid as it appears. Couldn't get the colours right. It's much more green although still pale.

It's taken me 6 weeks, but have also knitted 2 baby cardigans, a hat and another smaller blanket in between...

OK, what next...?

Oooh it's lovely Ceolas! Did you knit it in strips or individual squares?

I considered doing an apple tree square for dd1's blanket but I got a bit scared of the cabling - I need more practice I think!

Knitted the whole thing in one piece. Hurrah for no sewing up!

The cabling was fine, tbh. The section with the bobbles was a bit tricky as every row is different for about 20 rows of the chart, but I managed to keep my wits about me

How is that gorgeous boy of yours today?

Was the choice of initials for your boys/girls intentional?

yes it was Ceolas - well, we chose names we liked but it certainly had an influence! Their initials are CH, EL, CL, EH !

And ds2 is doing fab - a wee bit of jaundice but nothing much. Feeding marathon going on currently.

In one piece - - did you use extra-long needles then? Bet it got heavy towards the end!

Oh yes, the feeding marathon. Can't wait!

I just used 33cm bamboos, but they did bend a bit. And yes, very heavy at the end. Especially when doing the bobbles and turning back and forth.

Gorgeous!! And you must be the speed-knitting champion - it would have taken me years to make all those things.
