I’m a hermit so no actual real life people to show my stitching to so you vipers will have to stand in for actual friends! Grin

Harry Potter Slytherin Crest cross-stitch. Took me a month!

No Slytherin hate. Wink 💚🐍

A month! That would take me years! Well done, have you done any others?

That is seriously good... makes me feel I should do something productive with my evenings.

Aww, shucks. Blush. Thank you!

Joopy, I’ve started the Ravenclaw Crest and the Hufflepuff one but nowhere near finished. I do have a Hogwarts one done though.

Thanks, ItsA (your name is too long to type 😆).

I really only have my DH, DSs and parents to show stuff to and they’ve seen it at every stage so are sick of the sight of my stuff by the time I actually finish! Only so many times they can say 'oh it’s lovely'. Grin

I’ve never seen such beautiful cross stitch. Really amazing, OP. You’d go down a storm at craft fairs.

Do you sell them? I really like them!

Report
tattooq · 04/03/2019 07:06

They are absolutely amazing OP, the shading on the snake is incredibly well done. You should sell them OP, I bet potter fans would pay a pretty penny for one.

Report
OvO · 04/03/2019 11:29

I’ve never sold anything as cross stitch stuff is a hard thing to price!
No one wants to pay even just the cost of materials as it can be surprisingly expensive.

Fabric £10
Hoop £5
Threads (estimate) £15

And that’s without adding a price for the 100 hours of work it took me. Well the Harry Potter ones were 100 hours but the butterfly woman was around 300 hours.

So if anyone GIVES you a cross stitched item, even if you hate it, treasure it because they must like you a lot! Grin
