Sewing machine for dog leads?

Hi everyone!

I really want to get into sewing and make my own little pup some accessories such as bows, bandanas, collars and leads. I'm completely new to sewing and sewing machines so I'm asking for your guidance!
I did some research and found that I would need a heavy duty machine to be able to see through 2 layers of webbing, but some are so expensive! Does anyone know of any reliable sewing machines that would be able to do the job for me? Should I just get a more expensive one and it was last? Links and advise would be appreciated!
Thank you Grin

I regularly do it with a regular machine, a Janome, with a strong denim needle. Usually it is lighter weight webbing for cats but I’ve done thick webbing for dogs- it is harder work but I’ve done it. I would say it wears the machine faster but truth is I’ve been doing it since 2010 and haven’t even had my machine serviced since then, whoops!!
