Identifying pottery, any experts about?

Hi, hoping I’m in the correct topic area... I’m hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. On clearing a relatives house we have come across some unusual (well I haven’t seen anything like it) pottery vegetables/leaves. The picture attached shows one of them, it’s like a plant thing with a cricket attached. All that’s stamped on the bottom is an ‘F’. I’d really like to look into the production as I can’t decide if I like them in kitch way or hate them!! Any advice gratefully received.

Not an expert at all, but wow, that's amazing!
I would think it would be very collectable, have you shown it to a local auction house?
What are the other pieces like?

For date, I'd guess at Arts & Crafts period, natural shapes... similar to William Morris designs.

I hope you come back when you've found out more about it.

Some auction houses value items online if you email a photograph. Certainly looks to be an interesting piece!

I think you may have it Troy, have googled and it’s certainly similar, I have to check somethings to see if they are modern copies or actual majolica- thanks for the tip

This is a useful website if it has a mark. There are several F entries on page 3 &4

Another thing you could try is taking/sending photos to your nearest museum with a ceramics collection, they are usually very helpful.

Oh, and I agree about possibly being majolica ware, now you've mentioned cabbage leaves, they are a very popular design.

It looks like unripened cocoa pods.

BBC Antiques Roadshow are gearing up for this year's filming. Maybe check on their website and see if there is one coming anywhere near you?
I went to one last year and it was a very hot, tiring day, but well worth it.

I did a bit of googling and have found some Japanese things that are similar but not quite the same and some Majolica that again is similar but not quite as quirky . I really like them , be interesting to find out what they are and how much they're worth!

You can get these things in a shop called bevilles in Australia. No idea what the are called though.
