Good Christmas card crafts for toddlers

Where do I get good cheap toddler friendly Christmas crafts things for my toddler to enjoy from the average high street.

I'm hoping to make family Christmas cards this year with him and maybe Christmas decorations and things. Basically anything cute and potentially keepsake worth.

Also any links to good ideas would be appreciated preferably tried and tested but I don't mind.

I'm not naturally crafty so it's always a bit of a challenge for me but I can see my wee one loves making things so I need to get into it more for his sake.

You can get big plastic jars with a bit of everything - Pom poms, lolly sticks, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, coloured paper even glitter glue!

They are about £5 and I got one earlier this week at the range, you can also usually find them at the works or other bargain type shops. Otherwise WH Smith will have stuff. I’d recommend some kind of cheap and cheerful ‘mega box’ or jar as it will keep your child going a long time

Yeah Curls il be trawling wilko, the works all similar type places. I find all their card is utterly useless to make cards with unless you glue two pieces together to strengthen.

Maybe not the glitter, but Poundland do quite good arts and craft things for little ones.

Oh no I love glitter I hadn't realised it's in the plastics controversy tbh I hadn't ever given much thought to what glitter actually is . Il look into ethical stuff thank you.

Yep we have a couple of Poundland's il be sure to head in there too. I'm going to spend a fortune lol.

I made these baubles with my almost four year old this week and stuck them onto cards:

We found a pack of red/green card in Tesco for £1.50 and it was a good thickness. They also had those big tubs of decorative bits described upthread with a few other Christmas themed craft items and ready to make paper chains.

Get some green paint and put a toddler handprint (with fingers spread out) on the card. Decorate the rest with bits of paper, paint, whatever to make a Christmas tree (fingers facing downward - upwards and it’s more of a palm tree configuration).
