I bought 2 shades of green and one is 'soft' & the other 'professional' can I mix them or do I need to change one of them?

Bump

In case anyone cares after quite a google I found this

Which says they can be mixed

Polter Tue 24-Oct-17 21:32:19

I'm pretty sure I've mixed them before without problems.

What are you making? I have just bought my first ever load of fimo but still working up the nerve to get started with it!

katymac Tue 24-Oct-17 21:46:58

I've never used them before - I am making a "Heart of Te Fiti" from Moana
To go in a necklace I haven't made yet either hmm

Oo, we love Moana - great idea!

DD has an outfit & I have flowers & leaves to make a headdress

I bought a shell to make a necklace & I have brown embroidery thread and a lovely mumsnetter gave me some pearls - so on the train tomorrow I start crochet

& I just found a fab necklace picture

There's a couple of polymer clay groups on facebook and I know that at least one member has created a heart necklace with clay which was absolutely stunning, I think they used alcohol ink and translucent clay as well as a skinner blend.

I didn't understand most of that!

I'm using 2 colours and some acrylic paint and glow in the dark paint....maybe?

OK by googling I've found out I need to bake it in a covered dish

It's going to be about egg sized - does anyone have any further suggestions of advice for me?

katymac Thu 26-Oct-17 21:20:14

OK first time using Fimo...does it look a bit like the heart of Te Fiti?

B1rdonawire Thu 26-Oct-17 22:19:14

That totally looks like something Maui needs to restore! Well done smile

katymac Thu 26-Oct-17 22:38:19

Thanks & hopefully a bit of glow in the dark paint will help

Wish me luck - I'm trying to make Wizzie the wizard alarm clock from Boss Baby...I might manage the toadstool beside him I reckon, but the rest could be...interpretive!

katymac Fri 27-Oct-17 18:40:01

I don't know who that is.....interpretive is always good (especially if they are young)

Lots of luck!!

Finished the bugger

B1rdonawire Sat 28-Oct-17 12:59:11

That is stunning!

Sadly I couldn't find a small enough shell so it's way too big sad

But apart from scale it looks OK I think
