What sort of paint can I use on my babies?

I want to make handmade Christmas cards for close family with my twins handprints on, they are 7 months old so their first Christmas (I thought it was a nice novel idea).
What sort of paint would be suitable/safe to press their hands in?

I've always used facepaint. It's like a poster paint consistency if you get a good quality one and get it nice and wet.

Buy some Snazeroo face paint.

At this age I just used regular poster paint. Don't paint their hands, put paint on a sponge and press their hand on, then press hand on card. Baby wipes get wet paint off very easily- have them already out of the package. With two babies have another adult there!
I doubt face paint is any safer if they stick their hands in their mouth than kids poster paint. Have fun!

Thanks Moggle I looked at face paint today but it seemed expensive for a few handprints but poster paint was much more reasonable!
