Cotton mix jacket - can I dye it with dylon?

I've got a nice pale grey jacket for my daughter but the colour doesn't suit her. I would like to dye it olive green, but the jacket is 64 percent cotton and 36 percent polyester. Do you think Dylon will work, or do you think there's not enough cotton in it for Dylon to work?

Dylon will only dye the cotton part so you will get a marl effect rather than a full, solid olive green.

It can produce some lovely shades with the cotton being a strong olive green and the ploy remaining a pale grey but it does depend on whether you want that effect or not.

Also be aware that the stitching may not be cotton and might retain it's original colour - I've been caught out a couple of times by that when dyeing!

The stitching not dyeing can produce some great detailing though. Esp if it's a contrasting colour.
