Making curtains - interlining?

I've made a few pairs of curtains in the past, mainly making it up as I go along. This time I'd like to make them look a bit more luxurious and I'm thinking of adding interlining. I've watched various you tube videos (but stil, a little unsure how I'll sew it in) but I'm stuck on which interlining to go for. Can anyone recommend which I should buy please?

It's for a bedroom window to finish at the top of the radiator (I'm paranoid I should buy a fire retardant interlining if it's so close to a radiator?)

Also, should I prewarn the fabric? I'm imagining they won't be washed (or if they will it'll be dry cleaned). The fabric itself isn't machin wash but I could machine wash the blackout lining and if suitable the interlining?

Any advice would be great.

No fire retardant stuff required. I interline my curtains and blinds and thought I had bought 'bump' but looking at this I think it might be 'domett' as it is a bit fluffy.

I bought a roll many years ago and as I make more blinds than curtains and have always had small cottage windows I still have a bit left.

I have never washed mine.

Ok, the terms are too technical for me Blush . I can make it up as I go along pretty well but I have no idea about names of stitches/processes so I think a you tube video may be more useful for me.

Oh, that is a shame but I am pleased I posted a photo - would have hated you to buy it on my recommendation and waste your money.

thanks for the link Catherine. That book was just what I need. I rarely make curtains because my windows are huge and I hate wrestling with acres of fabric but i really should have a go, if only to use up my stash of curtain fabric!

I've found this link for what seems like easy to understand instructions to make curtains with interlining if it helps anyone so I'm going to use that. I've done part one, this week I'll move on to part two.
