Painting a picture.

has anyone got an idea for a painting? I love doing portraits but have run out of possible subjects. I use photos I take myself and they have to have lots of light and shadows to give info. I also enjoy other subjects but am devoid of inspiration. I have painted flowers, the garden etc. Has anyone got any ideas? I use watercolours, oils, acrylics according to subject. Going on holiday to the Lake District next month but meanwhile I so need a boost for inspiration. Thought you are such a creative lot you might come up with an idea as I am finding it hard to get going and I am a right misery if I haven't got a painting on the go.

I've just had 2 weeks in Tenerife and got some good photos of the sea, an amazing sunset from above the clouds and some other landscapes. Can post them on here if you wanted to have a look?

As your in the Lake District why not have a go at something atmospheric to capture how the place feels akin to Turners work capturing landscapes seen through weather and atmospheric conditions.

Thank you so much. I have somehow missed your replies until now. I am so sorry! I have been to the Lake District and persuaded my grandson's girlfriend to let me take photos. So plenty to do now. Still don't know how I missed your kind replies.
