The Sun Newspaper - Nepal blanket knitting appeal

Someone at work said that The Sun is asking for people to knit baby blankets. I went online to have a look but you have to be a member of The Sun to access the article. If anyone has a copy can you tell me:

Do they only want the blanket as per the pattern on the page or can it be any baby blanket design?

Does it need to be a standard size?

Is it only knitting they want - can you crochet one?

Where do you send them?

Thanks in advance.

Hiya,

That paper is doing it in association with Loving Hands (Craft for Charity). You can find out more about this at //www.lovinghands.org.uk and clicking on Summer Challenge 2015, where you will find a link to what this is about.

CALLING the army of Sun knitters – we need your help.

This week we have been calling on our big-hearted readers to get involved in our Knit For Needy Kids Campaign.

Millions of children around the world are in desperate need of warm clothes, and with your help, we can make sure thousands of them are clothed.

To celebrate the birth of Princess Charlotte, we are asking Sun+ members to download our free knitting patterns, grab a ball of wool and have needles at the ready.

Together with those from knitting charity network Loving Hands, your creations will be sent to babies in premature units across the UK, orphans and others in extreme poverty.

Just one knitted hat can make the difference between life and death for a premature baby.

And to help you on your way, you can get an exclusive ten per cent off yarn until the end of May by visiting loveknitting.com and using the code LOVETHESUN.

If you need more charity knitting than The Sun has to offer, there is always Woolly Hugs :)
