£5 Hobbycraft glue gun - any good?

I was in last week and noticed the had a sale on some hot glue guns and the glue sticks (£5 &1.50 respectively). Does anyone have this & is it worth the fiver? Or is it a bit too cheap & cheerful & I should spend a bit more?

I'm wanting to have a go at making a feather hair clip with felt/feathers/hair clip etc for my christmas doo & so maybe a £5 glue gun is all I need??

It's ok if you just want to do small amounts but the biggest down side is an exceptionally short cable. Pretty much I can only use on the kitchen bench so the socket isn't at ground level. Also gets very hot but I don't know if all glue guns do that.
