What glue for EVA foam?

I am doing DD2's World Book Day costume and have bought some EVA foam sheets to make a badge to go on her belt but have no idea what kind of glue to use! It's a 2D item so no tricky seams/ joins, but it will need to be fairly robust.

I have a hot glue gun although I'm rubbish at using it, and can go to Wilkinson in the morning if need be, as they have a decent craft section.

Help please! (I am so not made for this side of motherhood.)
