Ideal for beginners, in fact I am testing it out on some learners this week. Bit worried about what they might think or if the pattern is even correct (wood for the trees and all that!) So if you fancy giving it a shot I would love to see the results!
I thought your description of the magic circle was great, actually. I am a bit of a crochet novice - I've been able to do a basic chain and slip stitch for years (since my mum showed me when I was little) but never actually made anything or got any further. Then last year I sort of started up again and looked up a few tutorials etc. I'm now finishing my first granny square blanket, have done a couple of beanies and am playing around with things like the hearts (with the idea to appliqu them onto hats and scarves at some point).
I've done another one following your tutorial now, with a much thicker yarn but without the last row around the edge. It looks great! Def. my favourite crocheted heart so far. Thank you for the pattern
