I need to make a Nativity Scene out of some type of materials. We do this every year in school and this year I'm really out of ideas. In the past I've used toilet roll holders, sweets, felt... This year I just don't know. Any ideas??? I'd be really grateful

TIA

right, I'll try and explain my Blue Peter Nativity Scene from circa 1982...

Get a side plate, draw round it on thick paper.

Then cut a straight line into the centre so you can make a cone. snip the top of the cone off leaving a neck hole.

Cover the cone with fabric appropriate to the character - blue for Mary is the law, brown for shepherds etc - that's the body.

Head is made with mum's 20 denier tights in any shade from chocolate to american tan. They HAVE to be you mum's Wink

You wrap a cotton wool ball in a little scrap of tights, tie it at the neck (I used sandwich bag ties because Blue Peter told me to). draw a face on and add wool for hair or a little headdress for shepherds or a crown for kings etc. The head can then stick in the neck hole.

the hands are made similar to the heads but with pipe cleaners for arms.

Sheep are cotton wool with white pipe cleaner legs.

Baby Jesus is just a head and a scrap of swaddling fabric. TA DAAAAA

I'd take Lows instructions & change it slightly to make it easier still

Use paper plates
