Today I was called by r4 Saturday live programme and talked very briefly about my yarn bombing escapades. I contacted them last week on twitter as they were briefly talking about it & this week a researcher rang and said would I do a quick phone out about what I do.

I think it went well but I daren't listen to it. It'll probably be on iplayer though.

My boys and I still mourn the passing of the yarn bombing in Cambridge. Brightened up some dull bike racks no end.

I's love to do that, but my knitting skills are not that great ! good on you x

Thanks for all the replies.

Lulu, honestly you just need to be able to knit or crochet a square or a rectangle. It's a perfect base for a yarn bomb.

Excellent, thanks Dilly, I shall away there today. My one attempt at yarn bombing is on my profile, my crochet isn't fab so I had to go for humour over quantity!

Why has yarn bombing stopped in Cambridge? Sad

I want to do a Christmas thing in my road, but it will need to be small Smile

Btw Pistey there is a snowflake pattern on my blog which might make a good yarn bomb. V quick to make.

With super strength double sided Sellotape, they lasted for a couple of days Grin Thank you, I will have a go at your snowflake, I also saw your Christmas tree light one that I thought I would try for my road, well possibly just one lamp post!

You're the second person to mention the fairy lights this week but that post was from last year. Where did you see it?

I was hunting for simple Christmas crochet ideas and was looking through images on google, and I saw them, then found the way to your blog. I cannot remember what I had typed in at the point of finding though because I was having a lovely mooch Smile
