Hello there all!

I'm sure that you are all aware of the effects that Hurricane Sandy has had on the people of NY and surrounding boroughs and States. As winter and freezing temperatures are fast approaching, there is a huge call for donations to help the survivors keeps warm as some struggle to get back into suitable accomodation - Men, Women, Kids, Young and Old... everyone has been affected.

I am asking, on behalf of the relief workers (some of my friends in America), if anyone is able to crochet or knit scarves, hats, mittens, gloves... even afghans of any size. They can be for anyone but as MN is for Mums and Kids, I will ask on behalf of the children of these families. What a lovely early Xmas present to receive the gift of warmth and snug from kind hearted people in the UK? I think its a worthwhile cause.

If you are interested, please send me a PM for my address so I can collect items and then forward them to my contact in NY for distribution. Also, if you wish to help with any form of donation, I will supply my Paypal name for donations of cash for yarn etc.

Thanks for reading.
