I like the look of this blanket for my dd. I've had a look on Ravelry but nothing like this. Any ideas lovely ladies?

had a google of crochet ruffle patterns and came up with this heart

Would you be able to work a base and do ruffles over??

alfiemama Tue 07-Aug-12 11:26:52

Thanks Catsmama, love that heart. Looks
complicated though.
Yes I suppose you could do a base and add ruffles would take a while thoughgrin

I am sure I found a pattern on ravelry like that but I can't find it now! I will keep looking.

Aha! it does seem to involved making a mesh and then crocheting the ruffles onto it though.

similar to this I think. Not a free pattern though

Aha Soupdragon you star. Closet I found was this from someone on Rav.

I can't decide now it's between these two and Attic24's ripple. I'm not the best at crochet and worry its too complicated.

I love the attic24 ripple more. The wiggly one is cute but reminds me of a bathmat TBH.

Ooh Moaning you could be right there. Not a good look blush

SoupDragon Tue 07-Aug-12 15:20:59

I am a big ripple fan. It is my blanket of choice when making a gift.

SoupDragon Tue 07-Aug-12 15:22:02

I stumbled across the ruffled one when looking for a ribbon pattern, which I didn't find. This time when I searched for ribbon I got the one I had been looking for and not the ruffled one!

alfiemama Tue 07-Aug-12 17:07:36

I find that's always the case for me too.

Just been having a practice with the 31 st of ripple. My counting is always off with crochet. I am a knitter reallygrin
I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. But i end up with sts left.

Off the top of my head, I would hazard a guess that, at the end of your row, you didn't put two trebles in the top stitch of the last stitch (3-chain)

SoupDragon Tue 07-Aug-12 17:31:45

...of the row below.

Pressed post too soon!

alfiemama Tue 07-Aug-12 19:05:03

Ah I missed this part. Doh!
Thanks Soupy.

SoupDragon Tue 07-Aug-12 19:26:19

Lol... It's very common and thus I was confident that it would be the problem grin

Glad I'm not the only one. I will try again today. I can crochet in the round just struggle when flat. Would love to make some of those cute shoes but can't figure the counting outblush

Whooohooo I'm rippling. Thanks Soupdragon grin

SoupDragon Sat 11-Aug-12 21:19:01

Excellent smile

alfiemama Sat 11-Aug-12 21:37:18

Actually I'm not showing the ripples are rippling now I'm on my second rowgrin

alfiemama Sat 11-Aug-12 22:00:19

Ha ha that was before the vinogrin

I'm not sure it's rippling.

SoupDragon Sat 11-Aug-12 22:09:57

Have more wine... Something will ripple then smile

alfiemama Sat 11-Aug-12 22:30:15
