Do I need to do anything special?

Different thread or tension or something?

TIA

Yes. Be careful not to stretch the fabric whilst sewing. If you aren't using a serger/overlocker use a stretch needle and the Threads article UPT linked to is very good.

I am seriously considering NOT doing this

So sorry - but thanks for the advise - which I will store for if I am silly enough to think about this again

OK, Katy, I have been cheeky and looked at your profile.

That DD of yours is totally gorgeous, and whatever she wants, she should have. What a star!

Gorgeous.
The swirl factor is the important bit.
The 'not having to make it yourself factor is also pretty high!

Good luck to DD, what does she have to do?

Lots of hard work.....

She has 3 ompetitions coming up (not Ballet, Ballroom) & I need to decide if we 'jewel' it or if she just wears it plain

Which is hard, the shape & flow are wonderful & the colour is superb with her skin & hair, but jewelling is traditional

But if everybody else is jewelled.....and your DD is a jewel all by herself, you might get away with it.

Jewels in her hair?

KatyMac · 21/10/2011 23:50

I thought (red) flowers in her hair plus random crystals
Crystal necklace or diamonte chocker (depending upon which looks better with the neckline)
Largish earrings
and maybe long black gloves..........

DH will be in black trousers & red shirt (if it matches) and a black shirt if it doesn't

Previous photos (lots of latin only 1 ballroom)

ballroom

But if ou look at other pics on the site they are very ott (esp latin)
