my dd who is 2 says she wants a pumpkin outfit for her nursery party. im sure i could make one but would it be cheaper to buy one? where would be the cheapest place to buy the orange felt or fabric?

Sadly, I think unless you have lots of fabric and habdash hanging around in the right colours it is probably cheaper to buy one.

I was thinking of you Taytotayto yesterday because I was making a little bag to go with the dress I made (I sent you the PDF pattern) and I'd recommend it if you are looking for another project. My DD1 is 2, like your DD, and she loves it. Its this one here http://mycottoncreations.blogspot.com/2011/02/library-tote-bag-tutorial.html . I've made mine smaller, the body is about 10 x 8 inches and the straps about 13 inches in length, but it is the perfect size for a toddler.
