I've just inherited an old singer, but am having trouble with the bobbin. I've found a site where I can download instructions but I don't know what model I've got. Please could someone tell me how to find out what model it is?

Your machine will have a serial number on it... if not on the top/side then it will be underneath the machine... if you cannot find it, post a pic on your profile and the MN sewing detectives will help you smile

Thank you!
Have uploaded some pics.
There seems to be numbers all over it confused

Woo Hoo! You have a classic...but I cannot see the number in the first pic... that will tell us how old your machine is... I am assuming that this might be a hand Singer... I have one which is 90 years old. smile Can we have the number? It is so easy from there!

I've sussed it! it was a bent needle blush nothing to do with the bobbin at all.
I found out it's from the EK range, so found the booklet for it.
So, after a very slow and painful start I'm now actually sewing.
It's an electric one btw, DP's mum kept her old hand one as she doesn't hold with new-fangled tech grin
thank you for your replies smile
