selling my big shot

This isn't an ad! I am contemplating selling my big shot and looking for advice. Has anyone sold there's or bought one second hand? Is eBay the way to go or are there better options. My biggest concern is whether the cost of postage would be off-putting.

Just typical! This morning I bit the bullet and put a bid in on one on eBay. I've been stalking for a while. If it helps, I wasn't worried if it was the new or old style one, I've bid on an old coloured one [not black and pink]. It does come with a new cutting mat and some dies, embossing mat and some folders. I am upgrading as my sidekick has been fab, but I am hankering after some big dies. I've seen them go like described for anywhere between £35-45 + postage costs.

Postage wouldn't put me off if it's reasonable. One listing has £25 postage, but most seem to be around £10-15 postage.

thanks for your info kellestar. I've just checked Royal Mail and think it would be no more than £15 postage. I guess buyers weigh up what comes with it... off to make a list of what I've got sitting there doing nowt!!

But why do people pay £45 second hand when you can buy them online new, no delivery charges for £55??

I bought mine second hand for 80 pounds because it came with 16 dies of various sizes (3 extra large, 5 large and 8 small), two embossing folders, three cutting mats and a wodge of paper.

Ultimately, it didn't matter to me that it was second hand as it is basically a press - not much to go wrong with it!

sewcrafty, you kinda highlighted my concern. If you get a deal like that, why would you buy second hand. But, then, I agree with MrsDMM... depends what comes with it.

I don't need to sell mine... I am tempted to cos it is sitting there being un-used!
