Oooo, new machine, very exciting! I am (very very slowly) making a baby gym which is great because I can use up lots of old scrappy bits of material. I'm using pool noodles for the arches and it's great fun covering them with my funny patchwork. I'm sort-of copying this lady: http://sewingformybabyboy.blogspot.com/2010/10/baby-activity-gymtummy-mat-tutorial.html

Also I gave up on looking for a nappy bag and made the most awesome nappy bag ever which looks a bit like this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/sewspoiled/sets/72157624445753018/detail/ - PM me if you want a pattern

What fun, a new machine! Here are a couple of my favourite links for ideas and patterns:

This site has loads of really clear and pretty easy tutorials for baby/kids stuff. And Tipnut has masses of links to ideas and tutorials for all sorts of things (sewing and other crafts) so you can browse ideas there - most of them are very straightforward to do.

Oterwise, just use Google - if you search for something like "easy baby sewing project" or "free baby sewing pattern/tutorial" it'll throw up loads of ideas.

I hope that helps, and that you have plenty of fun discovering your new toy!
