Please recommend a sewing machine

I haven't done any proper sewing since I was a teenager - could make skirts and blouses. I'd like to start making some clothes again and learn more, plus do the last minute costume making for school a bit quicker (spent rather a long time hand stitching a cloak yesterday).

Don't have a huge amount of space for storage, don't want to spend too much for loads of features I won't use, and I care more about ease of use / durability than what it looks like.

Thank you.

if it's just a basic one you need then i can recommend john lewis's own one that costs about £60.

it has about 10 different stitches (straight, zigzag etc)

and is small enough to shove into a cupboard.

Thank you, I'll have a look at that one.
