Any quilters around who can advise?
I'm having trouble making my quilt sandwich - it's got me sobbing and tearing my hair out, I've tried three times now and every time the backing ends up all wrinkly and even with creases pinned into it.
am not helped by having 4 year old around to distract me but disposing of him is not an option and he is unfortunately fascinated by the whole thing so even the offer of a go on my laptop can't tear him away.
would it help if I ironed all three layers one at a time and then together? seriously, could I even starch the backing to keep it flat?
would it help doing it on a tiled floor instead of a carpet or would that make it harder as the whole thing would slip around?
would it be easier on a table? we don't have a huge table but could move it along I suppose?
any tips?
thanks.
