Anyone seen a sewing pattern for a fat rabbit with big floppy ears?

I have decided to make rabbits in gorgeous fabrics with heavy feet for my dds for Xmas.

As I'll need to make them in secret, I need to work on them over months! Googling has created some horrors in frilly dresses with nylonesque lace!

Any ideas where to look?

When you say "heavy feet", do you mean the sort that have long dangly legs and big feet? If so check out Tone Finnagar's Sew Pretty Homestyle book on Amazon. HTH. If that's not right have a look under Soft Toy patterns in Books.

Just a vague idea really. Imagined filling them with something for weight.

Thanks for idea

Lovely idea Poncey.
I don't have a pattern but have a vision of lovely rabbits in my DDs stockings For Christmas so will watch this thread in the hope that someone comes up trumps!

I knitted teddy bears in cashmere last year- all in colours to match their eyes with toning lovely ribbons. Of course, they preferred the pile of tat from the poundshop!

Do you knit?

I barely have time for anything that's not work! But funnily enough, my husband as part oh his job was talking with a knitting company today, looked at their patterns and excitedly told me I should start! Know the basically but think some way away from cashmere rabbits which sound just lively BTW!
I'm more of a sewist, somewhat of a novice, but can follow a pattern of sorts!
