Hey does anyone know if they take age into a factor in the NIPT results? Or is it purely done on your blood and trying to get the DNA from the baby? Thanks!

I don't think age is taken into account with the NIPT. It is purely an analysis of fetal DNA in your bloodstream. www.nuh.nhs.uk/about-the-nipt-test/

I did the Harmony test less than two weeks and can confirm it doesn't take age into account. It's based on the blood test not even the ultrasound. Saying that they can pick out some features on the ultrasound to indicate Downs or Patau but its not definitive. For instance with Patau, the babies hands are normally in a clenched position. Whilst with Downs the nasal area might not be fully formed or flattened.

The combined test does however, account for age. Because of my age alone I had 1 in 85 chance for Downs, which was then normalised to 1 in 90 based on other factors. Hence why I opted for a private NIPT.

The test itself does not take into account the age of the mother, but when they calculate the risk they have to combine the results with age and other info to know if your risk is "high" or "low".
