Letter following blood test

Hi all. I had the usual 12 week blood test to screen for Downs, Edwards and Patau and infectious diseases etc. My midwife said in my 16 week appointment that my risk for Downs, Edwards and Patau are low but my other blood results weren't back. I have now had a letter for an appointment with the screening coordinator in two weeks to discuss the other results, which I assume must be the infectious diseases. By the time this appointment comes I will be 20 weeks which is such a long wait for blood results were that we're taken at 12 weeks.

I am frantic with worry and two weeks is such a long time. Has anyone else had this? Do you have any advice?

Don’t have any experience with this but can’t think it would be anything too serious if they’re making you wait 2 weeks

If there was anything wrong I’m sure they would ring you.

Thanks both. That’s reassuring. I’m a first timer so don’t know how these things work. Bit of a shock to get a letter about it.

My combined screening Has come back high risk. I received a phone call straight away from the midwife.
Fingers crossed all is good.

It could be something quite simple. After my blood work I got a letter about 3 weeks later saying I'm not rubella resistant. As much as this could be serious it's not really an urgent thing they need to tell you about as you can t have the vaccine while pregnant anyway. The letter just says to stay away from people who have german measles, which obviously u would anyway!
