Suspected Spina Bifida

I'm 17 weeks pregnant, and have been told our baby girl is likely to have spina bifida. She has a lemon shaped head, and a banana cerebellum. The consultant also said he could see something low down on her spine. We are seeing a specialist this afternoon for more information. We are absolutely devastated. I was wondering if anybody has been through anything similar, or has any experience with spina bifida. Thank you.
