Just wondered if there was any sonograpahera who could possibly answer a query? Or possibly midwifes 🤔😆
Bit of background! (I'll try make simple 😆)
36+2 pregnant with third baby
Previous x2 obs choley 11/16 years ago
This pregnancy constant blood tests as signs but still bloods ok!
Had growth scans every 2 weeks from 28 weeks
28 no prob
30 no prob
32 growth ok Doppler took 5 attempts then normal one
34 weeks growth dropped and took 5 attempts for normal Doppler
36 week growth picked back up but Doppler 98th centile apparently 2 normal 2 abnormal
However first time mentioned to doctor due to episodes of reduced movements
Anyway I've had steroid shots and my ok bed c section fetched forward to 38 week, however have to have ctg daily and repeat Doppler Thursday plan is if abnormal again will go in and have section that day!
So my query, what will count as abnormal? And is it reliable to keep trying till a normal result is found? Or should it be done on the first day 2/3 readings?
Just want to be ready for what they say Thursday as very anxious and worried

Hi OP, I think these are questions you can best direct at the doctors who are looking after you, as they will have the full picture. There is a bit of information here: www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/patients/patient-information-leaflets/pregnancy/pi-having-a-small-baby.pdf but it isn’t very detailed. What they decide to do will depend on your specific situation but it does sound as if you are being monitored carefully. Hope everything goes well on Thursday Flowers

Thanks , I know I have asked several times but the answers are very vague and different between consultants (depends who on on the day) supose it will be a wait and see just wondered what they would be classing as abnormal 😵 yes very vague online worse than the doctors lol

That's the trouble with a lot of things in pregnancy/obstetrics, it's not really black and white, a lot of it comes down to your individual circumstances and can't really be generalised into a leaflet. In your sort of situation it's quite normal to do daily CTGs and frequent dopplers and just see how it goes day by day, but that's obviously really frustrating for you!

Yep most defiantly that's the ok. If they don't deliver this week! I had same situation with my little boy )11 years ago) and on end I broke down and said I can't cope anymore so they delivered at 36 weeks x
