Hi all

I had my 20 week scan a few weeks ago and baby was measuring 7th % for femur length. Went back for a second scan at 22 weeks to check some things that had been missed and baby is now measuring

My son (twin 2) had off the chart femurs during entire pregnancy along with other markers, increased NT, talipes in both feet and he was consistently small for gestational age. He's 2 and a half nearly now and there's nothing wrong with him at all! He was just a bit diddy. He's now on 25th centile for height.

Mintchick thanks so much for replying. I love a reassuring positive story. My baby is off chart for femurs too (but ok sized head, had harmony test and all ok)...worrying tho, with two tall parents & a very tall brother! looking like placental insufficiency, did you have that at all Confused

We had the same- off the chart femurs, had to have every bone measured which indicated shortness of all long bones, induced early...baby is perfectly fine! He is small but tracking the 25th centile having been born on only the 0.4th. Wish I hadn’t worried so much throughout my pregnancy, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. X

My lb had consistently short femur measurements during my pregnancy, less than 5th percentile, I had several extra scans with fetal medicine and lots and lots of sorry, he has just turned one and is totally fine, just has short legs like his dad :) is tracking about 15th percentile for height now but well within 'normal' limits. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know) x
