Just wondering if anyone has had the new NIPT/SAFE test (similar to Harmony) on the NHS?

St George's in London said they were rolling it out but the new lab only opened this month
I have had my nuchal scan date through but it doesn't mention NIPT anywhere

I was offered it through UCLH but seeing as I'd already forked out for the private Harmony at the FMC and had my samples taken, I didn't bother with the NHS one. I thought that all these tests were patented which was why samples were being sent to the U.S. Rather than being able to analyse in the UK. Maybe that has changed though.

Also, these tests aren't all equal (panorama, harmony, verify etc). They have different levels of accuracy as I found out when reading through papers on accuracy and false negatives.

Think it's great that there is an NHS option though as it's so muchore straight forward than CVS/amnio.

Hello, not sure about NHS quality, but I've done private Harmony which found and booked through Adviror.Clinic - a very informative NIPT information resource
