Waiting on amnio results for CMV

Had an amnio on Monday to check baby for congenital CMV as I have tested positive for what drs think was a primary infection at around 8 weeks.

20 week scan showed baby had a moderate hyperechogenic bowel and an enlarged heart which measures right at the top end of the normal range. My placenta is also thicker than they would expect for dates.

I'm trying to stay positive but it's exhausting and really I just want it all to be over. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Sorry for the long post, just need to get it off my chest I think.

I just wanted to hold your hand, I have not got any experience of this but I can relate to the waiting. How long do you have to wait for ?
