Crikey. I'm mega-early, but did a Clearblue early detection test today and here I am! Hopefully some more folk will join me soon.
Second baby for me, already have DS who is 4. Feel like I've forgotten everything tho!
Eeeeeeek!

Hannah192 Sun 26-May-19 20:38:59

Hello! I’ve also done a pregnancy test this morning (af was due today) and got my first ever bfp 🙊 I think I’m due around Feb 2nd! So excited
Congratulations to you!

Bilsonate Sun 26-May-19 22:10:43

@Hannah192 Congrats! Crazy isn't it?! I've not told my DH yet. He's working and it didn't seem right to do it by text! And its soooooo early. I'll hold off til the weekend, test again, then break the news 😂

Hannah192 Mon 27-May-19 06:48:18

@Bilsonate it is! My DH was with me when I found out. Madly I bought more tests yesterday so I can keep checking it’s real 😂 Hope your DH is excited at the news! When do you think you’ll be due?
Hopefully some more people start to join us but it’s a little early yet 😂

Bilsonate Mon 27-May-19 08:42:18

@hannah192 About 5th Feb I think. AF due at the weekend but i did an early detection test because I felt the same as I did when I was pregnant with DS. Very aware that its early days and because I'm a bit older (39) theres more risk of miscarriage. But, at the moment, it's all good smile
I actually told DH this morning- it was a bit of a tell and run because of work but he seems pretty happy!

FromTheMist Mon 27-May-19 09:32:12

Hi, can I join you guys?

Congrats to you both on your BFPs!! I got mine yesterday, super early at estimated 9dpo but I must have o'd earlier than I thought (wasn't tracking this month as was on holiday) as it was actually a pretty clear line.

First month trying for first baby so feeling really lucky - I've been lurking the conception threads on and off for a year now waiting for my chance to try and assumed it would take at least 6-12 months!

Hannah192 Mon 27-May-19 10:10:51

@Bilsonate aww amazing! Well I shall be keeping everything crossed for you.

@FromTheMist welcome and congratulations! That’s amazing that it’s your first month trying!

Charm23 Mon 27-May-19 13:04:33

Hey ladies, can I join?

Congratulations to you all!

I got a lovely strong BFP this morning! AF was about 3 days late and I used a Clearblue early detection.

Sadly had a miscarriage in December so trying not to worry.

Just bought home a new puppy a few days ago which is going to keep my hands full!

Bilsonate Mon 27-May-19 13:53:11

Brilliant news for you both!

@Charm23 - a puppy and a baby! Wow! I have two dogs but they're getting on a bit now.

This bit is so weird. Where you know you're pg but it just doesn't feel real.

Bilsonate Mon 27-May-19 13:55:09

Also, @Charm23, positive thinking and all that. Keeping all my fingers crossed for you that this one is sticky.

Charm23 Mon 27-May-19 16:03:19

@Bilsonate Thanks so much, I appreciate it. I'm staying positive for now smile Our pup is definitely helping keep me occupied and happy!

These early days are strange. I can't quite believe I'm pregnant again. Very surreal feeling knowing I could have a baby by my birthday!

Bilsonate Tue 28-May-19 09:47:45

@Charm23 It so weird. Esp in these early days when you still feel fine!

tisonlymeagain Tue 28-May-19 10:46:48

Hello all! Tentatively joining.

Got my BFP on Sunday with a FRER at 10dpo (and an IC and a Sainsburys test blush then picked it up on a Clearblue Digital yesterday morning and just did another FRER because I had it here but it was comforting to see the lines getting darker!

This is my 3rd pregnancy, but my last was over 12 years ago so it all feels like new - it's also my first with my DP, he has children too, so life is busy!

No major symptoms other than boob ache (which has always been a normal AF sign for me), a bit of creamy CM, hot flushes, backache and some headaches. Starting to feel a bit queasy today but think that's all in the mind. Actually, that's quite a few symptoms, haha!

Looking forward to joining you all on this journey.

Hannah192 Tue 28-May-19 13:08:26

Aww it’s lovely to see more people joining the thread ☺️ Congratulations to you all!

Is it bad that I’ve already walked around mothercare?! 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ My excuse is my friends due any moment so needed to get them something!

Bilsonate Wed 29-May-19 14:53:49

I think I might be addicted to peeing on sticks...
I've done about a million tests, all positive 🤷‍♀️😂

tisonlymeagain Wed 29-May-19 15:03:16

Same @Bilsonate I even ordered some more blushconfusedgrin

FromTheMist Wed 29-May-19 15:08:12

Eeeeek tell me about it, wish I hadn't seen them in Boots buy one get one half price! 🤦‍♀️🤣

tisonlymeagain Wed 29-May-19 15:24:24

I swear I will test every day until I've had a scan!

Bilsonate Wed 29-May-19 16:25:32

Hahaha! Its ridiculous isn't it?!? 😂

I booked in with the midwife today on the phone. Have my scan date already!

star1980 Wed 29-May-19 16:37:29

Hey ladies, congrats on the BFPs! Can I join? Tested last night and got a clear line on a cheapy. Due 3 Feb. It’s not sunk in yet, DD is 16 months and will be just 2 on the due date, so this feels a bit early. I’m happy, if nervous - took 2.5 years to conceive DD and I never thought we’d be here, just a few months of ttc no 2.

peanutbutterandbananas Wed 29-May-19 16:57:36

Tentatively joining too, so so excitedhad bfp yesterday, very early (would be due Feb 10), it's my third! grin

tisonlymeagain Wed 29-May-19 17:32:35

@Bilsonate just did another hmm still pregnant haha

I've spoke to the GP today and there's no midwife there now, we have to self-refer but they gave me the details and I've sent off the email so just waiting for reply now, within 7 days apparently.

Hey 👋 to those just joining - exciting times!

Hannah192 Thu 30-May-19 09:43:24

Welcome and congrats to everyone joining ☺️

I’ve got another 2 tests at home that I intent to do each week 🙈 the doctors told me to self refer at 6 weeks so I think I have another week to go

tisonlymeagain Thu 30-May-19 10:02:45

Morning!

Off to the doctors this afternoon to find out about higher dose folic acid and will also ask about constipation blush I've not pooped in days!

star1980 Thu 30-May-19 11:37:13

That is a lot of tests tisonly!! They’re getting nicely darker which is lovely.

hannah, that’s interesting your dr says to refer at 6 weeks. Last time I didn’t refer TIL about 9 weeks as got conflicting advice (I moved areas) so I guess I’ll wait til 6 weeks and do it then. Don’t want to jinx things by doing it too early (stupid I know!)

No symptoms here except my bras are a bit tighter round the rib cage!!
