I just commented on last thread. Ooops.
My edd is 15th Jan. smile

MagpieCursedTea Fri 17-Jun-16 11:32:12

Argh sorry I missed it Jodie!

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 12:57:44

Hi, can I join?

I'm 8 weeks and due 25th January with number 1. Spent a good few years trying to conceive before falling pregnant after first round of ivf. Currently off work suffering with severe "morning " sickness!

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 12:58:09

26th* January

Parney Fri 17-Jun-16 13:56:54

Place marking, still in absolute awe of Signorita's list!!!!

MagpieCursedTea Fri 17-Jun-16 14:52:31

Welcome Vixx! Sounds like you've been through a lot to get here. Sorry to hear you're suffering with "morning" (very important to put that in inverted commas) sickness but you're in good company here!

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 16:01:45

Hi Magpie, Thank you for the welcome. Have you got your 12 week scan booked yet?

duckyneedsaclean Fri 17-Jun-16 17:14:54

Anyone else starving hungry but all food is utterly unappealing & frankly disgusting to think about?

Sigh. Not a good day!

GingerIdiot Fri 17-Jun-16 17:26:55

Yep, I know that feeling! As mentioned earlier in this thread, I recommend philadelphia on crispbreads, or jacket potatoes with cottage cheese or plain pasta (sorry if these words alone make someone feel peaky!). I can't wait to really want food again...

I have my booking appointment next week when I will be 9+5. Can anyone tell me what sort of questions they ask that aren't just health related? (From the hospital letter it sounds like they really delve into your life, work, home etc). And how much family health history do you need to know?

Jodie1982 Fri 17-Jun-16 17:27:44

Hey Ducky. I've gone off practically everything apart from bread n chips. Not good at all. Feeling very bloated n yukky.

TinyHumanJan17 Fri 17-Jun-16 17:35:52

Place marking! Im managing little and often! And if i want something i have it, i just sent hubby to shop for french fancies!

wilfrhodes Fri 17-Jun-16 17:39:35

cautiously joining you. 2nd jan. am told the medical profession may not let me wait that long.

nausea is dissipating, appetite comes and goes. feel a bit of a fraud about feeling tired all the time. struggling with motivation for everyday tasks (work/chores).

good luck all, and thanks to signorita and magpie for their admin efficiency!

Ellie06 Fri 17-Jun-16 17:42:37

Hi ladies grin I'm 8+1 and due the 26th Jan 2017

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 18:01:13

Hi Ellie, we have the same due date!

I am managing with plain porridge and lemon sorbet. Drinking hot water, lemon and honey. Hospital also gave me some anti sickness medication but it hasn't kicked in yet.

MagpieCursedTea Fri 17-Jun-16 18:23:27

Vixx I was sent for my 12 weeks scan yesterday (I have PCOS so my cycles are long and I ovulated around day 29), obviously it was too early to do nuchal testing etc so I have to go back in a couple of weeks. Not complaining though as it was great to see the baby! Have you got yours booked?

Ducky I get what you mean, deciding what to eat is a minefield. I agree with Ginger's suggestions, she has pretty much just described my current diet!

Ginger I got asked about my medical history, social stuff like mine and DH's occupation, medical history for both our immediate families, previous pregnancy and probably some other stuff. There are a lot of questions!

Wilf welcome! I feel tired all the time too, it's completely understandable, we're growing humans! There's so much development at this stage and our bodies are working 24/7. It's exhausting! I can't take any credit for the list, that's all signorita's hard work, I just copied and pasted!

Ellie welcome!

sunnypeony Fri 17-Jun-16 18:33:01

Hello! I'm 18th January.....I seem to have less nausea and sickness and starting to get a bit more energy which is a relief!

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 18:39:36

That's good Magpie, did you get a nice pic? Does it feel more real now.

I had scans at 5,6 and 8 weeks. I need to call my doctor and book myself in with a midwife. Then I can get a date for the 12 week scan.

Kittykitty05 Fri 17-Jun-16 19:57:43

Feel like head butting the next person that asks if I've 'tried ginger biscuits' rahhhh! I'm on my third lot of meds from the doctor and tried every myth and old wives tale going!!!
Rant over, but seriously this was a midwife suggesting it today!

Clomidworries Fri 17-Jun-16 20:29:44

Hi all
My EDD is 12th January. Got the 12 week scan booked in 26th June. I have been to private scan at 8+3 saw the heartbeat😍😍. It's my first so very very nervous.

duckyneedsaclean Fri 17-Jun-16 20:41:54

GingerIdiot Cottage cheese! Why would you write such a thing?? envy grin

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 21:06:31

Kitty can I ask did the other 2 medications not do anything? Asking as been on meds for 2 days and if anything I'm worse!

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 21:07:23

Hi clomid, nerves are normal. Congratulations, did you conceive on clomid?

Kittykitty05 Fri 17-Jun-16 21:15:03

vixx I was on promethazine then cyclazine. Neither worked barely at all. Now on metoclopramide which is better and works in a different way to the others. My sil is a midwife and yesterday said there's something better she'll get me. I'll let you know... I was paranoid about taking anything to begin with but after weeks of all day vomiting and lots of reassurance of their safety, I felt meds were the only way to go. I hope yours eases soon, I know it's so debilitating xx

Vixxfacee Fri 17-Jun-16 21:19:37

Glad you got something that's helping. Please let me know what your sister recommends.
I didn't want to take anything either but got to the point couldn't keep water down.
Hopefully it starts to ease off for both of us x
