Aww feather that's really sweet.

And as said on FB can we all stop having babies until December??? It's scaring me!

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 17:59:58

I actually can't believe how close that is clare! How exciting. Best of luck xxx

clare8allthepies Thu 14-Nov-13 17:48:18

Had another growth scan this afternoon and baby's measurements were pretty similar to 2 weeks ago so to be on safe side consultant said he wanted to induce so I'm going in on Saturday. Eeeeep!

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 17:28:33

Aww feather that's so cute!!!

Sorry everyone's feeling so crappy, wish I had a magic wand!

37 weeks today, is that full term? I'm so,so,so happy to have gotten this far, I was keeping my fingers crossed for 35 weeks, 36 seemed an impossible dream and I didn't even dare think I might get to 37! I'm actually starting to get hopeful that I might make it to section date as planned! I hope I do, DH is paying for me to go and get my hair done on Wednesday and it would be nice to be able to plan to do stuff and actually have it happen!

I went for another float this morning, DS was ecstatic to go to the crèche too! On the way in I got his longest sentence yet - 'mammy, I very VERY excited!'

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 16:52:23

Thanks meansbumpy we are extremely happy. I'm very lucky to have found him! So if it wasn't for moving 150 miles from home I would never have found him. Or he found me. He chased me and I fell for him lol.
Now trying to get him to propose! Lol but it'll come in time when he's ready smile.
I've cheated and bought frozen pizza lol

Mum came over and made me walk into town ( just round the corner so not far) but omg the pain in my pelvis I can barely move! She did buy me a hot chocolate an a cake in Gregg's lol so shouldn't complain. Glad to be back home now. Still got to wash up..... Maybe it can wait.. Lol.

Roselau Thu 14-Nov-13 16:18:42

liz you should have the massage AND the pedicure

loki you made me laugh with the 'not long' comment and threatening to sit on the next person that says it haha.

I go back and forth... On one hand I am done - I want her out and 5 weeks seem like an eternity. I want to get back in shape and my old body back. But on the other hand I know my life will never be the same, and I was up most of the night thinking about what it will be like to breastfeed and to have her next to me and how I will never be able to sleep because I'll want to make sure she's ok. Selfishly, I will also miss being number 1 for my DH because I know the LO will become number 1.

meandbumpy Thu 14-Nov-13 15:28:22

Hope dizzy and chelsea are ok. Bit worried we haven't heard from chelsea for a while and hoping it's because she's busy with new baby cuddles.

meandbumpy Thu 14-Nov-13 15:26:08

Kchapper that sounds like a fabulous day, I'm so jealous too!

whisper Hope you're having a nice time with your step sister and a good natter over cakes is cheering you up.

Gosh rose the weather sounds amazing, how lovely to live by the sea!

Enjoy your last day mrsshrubs, and don't work too hard.

Hope you're feeling better soon claire, the baby parcel sounds great.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too chipper stom, you sound very happy with your dp though, glad you've got him.

Been to meet my new midwife today, she was lovely and is getting me in to the MLU tomorrow to book me into the system here. Baby is measuring well and it's head is poised to engage but not quite there yet, it better get a move on! Also treated myself to two new jumpers from the charity shop; there's no point in buying brand new things when I'm this far gone and am obviously going to shed the baby weight and be back in my size 8s in a matter of weeks, lol . . . hmm grin

Thanks for the dinner inspiration, we're definitely having homemade pizza now!

13loki Thu 14-Nov-13 15:10:22

I can neither stand or sit long enough to make my own pizzas. DS asks for things like kebab sås and I refuse to buy it for the occasional pizza. I would kill for a really nice fish and chips, but they don't really do that here, so I have to make it myself and that defeats the purpose.
Soup is on now, though!

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 15:08:07

To be late**

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 15:01:24

Omg the not long now comments make me want to stab someone!! Have you thought about making your own pizzas? They don't take too long and the you can put what you like on them smile
I hate to wish my life away but I'm also wishing they are quick! if dd isn't here before Xmas I will cry and may cut her out myself! Lol I don't want her to be last I've had enough!!

13loki Thu 14-Nov-13 14:37:32

If I actually get up and make it. But DH speaks even less swedish than I do, so I can't send him for pizza (he won't ask for special things in english, let alone swedish, and I want to change every pizza on the menu), and not a single takeaway delivers to our house sad so it's either cook, or drive to pick up pizza.

OK, I can chop onions. I can get up, with my massive bump.

DD also asked yesterday when I picked her up from the childminder if I had gone to hospital and got the baby yet. Which was amusing for everyone but me. And it was DHs birthday yesterday and he asked for a baby. The next person who tells me "not long now" will be sat on!

mumoftwoboysS Thu 14-Nov-13 14:35:55

stom sorry to hear you're feeling fed up and down sad I've got 5 weeks to go too- feels like forever!

I can't bend either- knocked over one of those wet floor signs in the hospital this morning and I couldn't pick it up- an old man came over and did it for me- I felt so stupid- an 80 yr old more able than me!

I'm wishing these will be the quickest 5 weeks ever!

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 14:32:41

loki mines still high up :/
It's awful when people make comments like that
I'd love some of your soup though!!

13loki Thu 14-Nov-13 14:17:00

Stom I can't walk or bend anymore, but baby has dropped, making that worse but I can breathe and eat again! grin

Hope dizzy and Chelsea are OK

I am going to make some bacon and lentil soup in a minute. I have half made bread to eat with it - I just need to punch down the dough, shape and leave it to rise again. I should hurry up, I wanted to let it rise slowly in the firdge but have been skyping my mum instead of baking. Aunty just saw my belly on skype and asked if I'm sure there's only 1 sad

Stom91 Thu 14-Nov-13 13:53:40

Really struggling with moving around today. Can't walk or bend everything it's just a lot of effort. And makes me short of breath. All I've done is try and have a little tidy up.
I really want to Hoover but I know I haven't got the energy and the washing up is staring at me.

Just feeling mighty fed up and huge now.
My best friend said that she would call this morning for for a catch up - she hasn't. I didn't think she would. I feel like one of those people that are easily forgotton. Like if I was to run away and not tell anyone no one would bat an eyelid.
When I moves 150 from my home town (not my choice) it didn't take any of my friends long to forget me.

I've only got dp. Who I love and he's my best friend/soul mate etc but sometimes you need other people.
Once dd is here i feel like telling everyone who wants to come round to bugger off cos they will only be coming to see dd no one has bothered with me over the last year. Not even asked how the pregnancy is going.

Sorry for the mega depressing post. I think my brain has had enough of pregnancy hormones! I have 5 weeks left and it feels like forever! sad

clare8allthepies Thu 14-Nov-13 12:53:30

Have spent all morning sat on my butt nursing a horrible cold, just had a parcel delivered and it's a huge box of baby stuff from my sister. Absolutely tons of vests, sleepsuits and bedding, goodness knows where I'm going to put it all grin

mumoftwoboysS Thu 14-Nov-13 12:48:28

Oh just read post re how many weeks dizzy is- I was in the middle of witing a post an hour ago big hadn't sent it!

mumoftwoboysS Thu 14-Nov-13 12:47:21

Well turns out it was another appointment for someone to feel my boobs! I thought it was an ultrasound but was for the specialist to have a look. She said that she didn't think it was anything to worry about but has booked into an ultrasound for next week for peace of mind. So more waiting but hopefully it's nothing.

rose so jealous of your lovely weather!

Exciting to hear about Dizzy- anyone know how many weeks she is? Hopefully all's going ok. And hope no news is good news regarding Chelsea

Alyssa1978 Thu 14-Nov-13 12:30:35
