... if he doesn't stop saying "aaahh" after sipping his tea?

Very reasonable. I've threatened DH that on my petition would be his inability to replace loo roll on the holder (apart from this he is pretty good however).

TwoTearsInABucket Fri 02-Aug-13 14:21:19

Does he do it after every sip? If so, YANBU

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 14:23:12

Well, maybe one sip in three.

That's settled then. I'll miss him (except at tea time).

FriskyHenderson Fri 02-Aug-13 14:24:25

Is it Typhoo?

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 14:26:33

Frisky, no. Neither is it Bisto.

TwoTearsInABucket Fri 02-Aug-13 14:40:06

Does he do it on purpose? That would really annoy me.

pianodoodle Fri 02-Aug-13 14:49:40

Sounds fair.

It should also be allowed for stacking washed up dishes in such a way that makes me feel like I'm playing a very dangerous game of Jenga when I go to put them away.

At least he does them I suppose smile

YouTheCat Fri 02-Aug-13 14:53:50

ltb grin

JParkson Fri 02-Aug-13 14:56:51

It could be worse... it could be

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 15:15:45

He claims it's involuntary but I have my suspicions. I might quite like "oooh" - sounds kind of exciting?

Plate Jenga is definitely grounds for something (either a divorce or a medal, not sure which).

AnyFucker Fri 02-Aug-13 15:18:47

My Dh does this thing where he blows over the top of the tea every single time before he sips it

It has nearly driven me to divorce on occasions smile

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 15:25:38

Oh AnyFucker, I think I know that thing too. You are a tolerant lady.

EagleRiderDirk Fri 02-Aug-13 15:41:51

My OH is ok with tea, however I have just threatened to burn the next lot of junk he just dumps on our dining table - therefore I may not be the best judge of reasonableness here...

Rosenip Fri 02-Aug-13 15:58:42

You should start doing it and see how long it takes him to stop. But do it louder than him grin.

My parents much really really REALLY loudly when they eat. I wish I could divorce them for this! Does this happen with older age?

Also this is my first reply to a post in AIBU, everyone seems to know each other, do you?!

Rosenip Fri 02-Aug-13 15:59:13

Fail, I meant munch.

fabergeegg Fri 02-Aug-13 15:59:53

Yes, things like that are definitely valid. My personal favourite is saying 'no no no no' instead of 'no.'

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 16:14:42

Hello Rosenip! I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty new here too and don't really feel I "know" anyone yet. Just thought I'd wade right in - and it's very nice to have a chat while sitting in a deserted office on a Friday afternoon.

TheFallenNinja Fri 02-Aug-13 16:22:43

I was going to say YANBU but this seems intermittent, has his valve gone?

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 16:24:12

FallenNinja, I'm definitely starting to think he's due an MOT

ClockWatchingLady Fri 02-Aug-13 16:25:23

(some terrible smells from the exhaust pipe)

Tubemole1 Fri 02-Aug-13 17:10:01

This thread is hilarious grin

AnyFucker Fri 02-Aug-13 17:47:23

Rosenip, just join it mate. Some names are known, others are not but soon will be. Everyone welcome, especially if you are funny smile
