I am really hoping they have got better in the last year as I keep reading terrible reviews......sadly after I have ordered my Vibe from them. They promise it will be here on the 20th Jan as currently out of stock.

Any good comments??

Im so mad, we ordered a travel system from Bambino Direct 4 weeks ago it said online they had it in stock and would be with us in 7/10 working days. 4 weeks later still no show and was told it would be with us today. So i have waited in all day today just phoned them and they said its not even instock. Im mad at them but to be honest more mad at myself we always check online reviews for some reason with this we didnt. I cant believe how many bad reviews this company has and why are they still allowed to trade?

Any Advice???

I would see if you can cancel the contract with them, get a refund, after finding out who does definitely have it in stock (John Lewis, Mothercare, Kiddicare are all good websites - not sure what travel system you have ordered but one of them should be a supplier)

If you have trouble cancelling the contract and getting a refund, call consumer direct for advice - they have to refund you within 30 days.

Ideally you'd have a credit card or enough money to buy it "again" with a more reputable website whilst chasing your refund - you are covered under the distance selling regulations and consumer credit act, so this definitely will happen - then at least you have your product, and you can chase the refund seperately.

Always buy from John Lewis or Mothercare if they have it in stock - both are excellent at observing the Sale of Goods act, have 28 day returns (or more sometimes I think), John Lewis has a price promise, "never knowingly undersold", and both if you buy from the website have records under the "your account" going back years so you can go back in 3 years time if it breaks and print out a proof of purchase, take it back to the shop, and get it repaired or replaced, because both shops would rather just do that than fight you for it and get a bad rep.

Good luck

By the way - I actually got my daughters cotbed/roomset from them. They were out of stock for a while but like most nursery furniture there was a lead time on it as it was being made in Italy. They did come good when they said they would - the only glitch being that the sales person I spoke to who took my money had told me it included installation and it didn't, so I had to stump up £40 extra (which apparently should have been £70 so some compromise involved) to get the guys to put it up for me. I dont do flat pack when in beached whale mode so I probably would have paid double that but given a bit of my whore-moans with it...

They are awful - I ordered something from them over a month ago which was supposed to be in stock and after telling me they would not be able to supply it they have proceeded to charge my card!

Utter bastards and I will never buy anything from there again!

Cancel the order - we ordered a baby stroller (£££) and a tire pump (maybe £5) from them -- both showing 'in stock' and hadn't gotten it after 4 weeks. My DH called and they said 'oh we were waiting until the tire pump came back in stock to send you the whole order'... meanwhile due date is only 1 week away, so we just cancelled the whole order because as he pointed out - what if we had a problem with the product and had to deal with those numpties to rectify it...

Granted that was in Sept / Aug 2010 - so maybe they've improved...

Perhaps Bambino Direct should change their name if they really have changed as their reputation is appalling.

As they advertise on this site and offer a discount to mumsnetters I am not surprised they have responded to this thread.

I have never risked using them as it sounded like they were verging on fraud. Perhaps they have improved though.
