Me. Angel, shepherd; wing defence.

That fit?

I was a very specky Mary, and did not go on to be prominent in anything

(except always doing readings in services and assemblies, because i could read!)

i was Elizabeth (Mary's sister) and I played WD

I was mary I went on to be goal attack, though have been center.

DD was Mary and has played wing defence.

She was Mary because it was the only part with no lines (she has speech problems).

She is in the netball team because they don't have enough players otherwise.

I need to talk to our headteacher. Been a governor for six years now, sweated my guts out for the PTFA and am on first name terms with the entire staff - and STILL none of my DC have ever had a big part in a school production. I must be doing something wrong.
Or, wait, MAYBE that isn't how they choose the cast.

Always the narrator - and wing attack!

Report
MrsBadger · 09/12/2009 16:24

DD is Mary
That may be something to do with her being at a village school with only other 2 girls in the class.
But I think it very improbable that anyone with my netball genes will ever go on to be Centre. Even if they are forced to play some weird kind of three-a-side netball rules.

Mary was never the important part in the DDs plays. She just sits at the front of the stage clutching a doll.

DD2 is a shepherd in the brownie play, she's thinking of jazzing it up with a "song and dance". Sunday should be interesting.

Definitely a nice little research programme there. Maybe you can find some correlations and publish it for a PhD, no? I think I see what you're getting at, though

id like to suggest htat the TALL girls always get "male" type roles even if boys in class

then are not centre as centre is small and petite and my nemesis

( hides secret yearning to be Kendall esque)

I have to agree with MrsBadger.

I was the narrator and centre.

Mary usually preferred to spend lunch times playing kiss chase and showing the boys her knickers instead of netball club. Not that I'm still bitter...

I was Mummy Bear and I played WA

Angel Gabriel here.

Went on to be a bit crap at all things involving teams and balls, though was the one that can move around a bit more than the goalkeeper- goal defence is it?

Report
wildfig · 09/12/2009 16:30

I was Angel Gabriel (tall), and then GK (tall, and scary because cross about being so tall).
