did he start a war?

cocolepew Mon 09-Nov-09 17:33:18

He drowned some puppies.

fruitshootsandheaves Mon 09-Nov-09 17:33:19

I am angry because he forgot to send me an invite to his 50th.

BalloonSlayer Mon 09-Nov-09 17:34:46

I think it might be because everyone has allocated excessive and unwarranted importance to a tedious, staged and witless TV programme he is involved in.

Could that be it?

BoneYard Mon 09-Nov-09 17:35:06

I know it's so daft. Lucie was never going to win anyway.

He knows what he's doing and those who are outraged are falling for it.

It's not life and death (and i've been an avid fan for years).

BoneYard Mon 09-Nov-09 17:36:36

There are folks in other countries would love to have this to worry about....it's not as if there's anything else for our press to report hmm.

FreeTheGuidoOne Mon 09-Nov-09 17:41:25

I don't know whether I find it distasteful or amusing that people are so villifying Simon Cowell for his actions in a Sunday night reality/pop whatsit when it was a day to commemorate true agony and loss.

And would that the nation were so passionate about voting in elections that make a difference.

2shoes Mon 09-Nov-09 17:48:05

he is a nice bloke, so I don't get it
he loves his mum, helps homeless dogs and was nice to dd's friend.
yet he has been called names over a reality show....
what did he do?

bigchris Mon 09-Nov-09 17:49:34

it's the public who didn't vote for Lucie
so it's the show's fans that are at fault not him

Tryingtobeorganisedthisyear Mon 09-Nov-09 17:55:56

loving the way people are horrified that the program is all about money, hype and rating......er yes, it always has been - get over yourselves!!

WhatDidISayRoy Mon 09-Nov-09 17:56:48

i don't know what he has done either!

SquirrelTrap Mon 09-Nov-09 17:58:15

He does have a lot of botox however, and that makes him incredibly vain. And that makes me slightly angry

2shoes Mon 09-Nov-09 18:09:12

oh and he gave money to save that little girl

GibbonInARibbon Mon 09-Nov-09 18:19:06

Because he is a cunt.

GibbonInARibbon Mon 09-Nov-09 18:20:35

tongue firmly in cheek before the simon c fanclub lynch me wink

LynetteScavo Mon 09-Nov-09 18:30:30

He let the people speak.

He did the right thing IMO...much as I like Lucie, she wasn't going to win.

3isthemagicnumber Mon 09-Nov-09 18:35:54

I dont think he was bothered about letting the public speak to be honest.
He is a businessman. John and Edward command more column inches and are a bigger ratings pull than Lucie.
He knew which way the public vote would go.
He's a twunt but he's not daft.

2shoes Mon 09-Nov-09 18:36:35

WHAT DID HE DO????????????

WhatDidISayRoy Mon 09-Nov-09 18:39:15

i have no idea. am waiting alongside you for the answer!

2shoes Mon 09-Nov-09 18:40:06

maybe it is a secret

BitOfFun Mon 09-Nov-09 18:41:04

Must be. Can't see the problem.

3isthemagicnumber Mon 09-Nov-09 18:41:06

On the television (tis like a wireless with pictures) he 'let' a couple of not so talented boys stay in a competition rather than a quite talented girl because the country has gone crazy for the big haired boys in a 'love to hate them way' which of course generates lots of publicity for his little show..

notanumber Mon 09-Nov-09 18:41:29

He did something really terrible , 2shoes.

<<yawn>>

WhatDidISayRoy Mon 09-Nov-09 18:43:29

oh i see, thanks.

2shoes Mon 09-Nov-09 18:43:38

is that it?????????????
