yanbu that is really crap service, they need to take some money off your bill or give vouchers or something that is a long time to go without any tv channels! but hopefully it might just start up again by itself before tues?

I signed up with Virgin 2 weeks ago (not installed yet) and they called me after I booked the "easy appointment online" to say they wouldn't fit it til the end of November.

So I'm a brand new customer and they can't come.

It does not surprise me to hear how they treat people who are customers already.

Dont get me started on Virgin, I have had thier service for five years, moved home last month. Had every excuse in the book why my internet, television was not working.(including my move had not been authorised"" ). Anyway after eight days i finally phoned them and said "If u dont get a engineer down here in 24 hours I will throw your equipment out of the window, cancel my diret debit and kill your staff! (ok so that was a bit exaggerated bout the staff but you can see where i am coming from). Anyway, they turned up the next day, cancelled my bill for the month and it turned out to be a lose wire. So the moral of my reply is "check the back of the tv lol,,

Good luck

I had this a couple of months ago, luckily we have Freeview up in the bedroom, so could still watch some telly.

Mine also went at the weekend, and they told me it would be 3 days before they could come out.

By the next morning the service was back on- apparently there was a fault in our area, although it didn't say on the fault line.

My advice would be keep trying the telly periodically, hopefully it should come back on.

If it does PLEASE ring to cancel the engineer, if you don't they'll charge you for the callout.

Can't cope with Virgin - they're utterly crap. The only reason I'm still with them is that I haven't got a spare £130 to have a BT line fitted, which I'd need to change providers.

It stuns me that they're still in business, tbh.

My Uncle passed away about 18 months ago and Virgin didn't seem to grasp the fact that the house was empty and they needed to collect their equiptment. We rang and wrote to them numerous times and on one occasion they asked dh if he would like to take over the contract! Talk about incensitive.

Virgin are rubbish. Their tv service is actually great when it works, V+, iPlayer on the tv, 4OD etc, Sky can't do any of that, but their customer service is rotten. We were supposed to have our tv service installed in our new house on October 10th, it eventually was done on the 29th due to various cock ups... and it's only because my dh got the name and direct line of someone in customer services who he called each time there was some kind of setback that we've got 3 months half price tv.
