to think I am not suffering from baby brain

I am not suffering from baby brain. I am just in an induced state of lower conciousness induced by extreme sleep deprivation and weird hormones.

I have not made silly mistakes, just alternative decisions in a different dimension.

I am really thick at the moment, I hate it cause I feel like a traitor to feminism but really I am a danger to myself and others.

I had to leave the shops yesterday because I just could not figure out what to get for dinner and it was all just so overwhelming. Have regularly been forgetting what I am doing and where I am going (often while walking along the street/on the bus).

Put some crumpets on to toast the other day and came back an hour later wondering what the smell was...

You both are doing fabulously then! My mum had a patient who left her baby on the bus the other day...

Although I guess that'd solve the problem...

Last week I stopped at a green light, then went to get money out the cashpoint, took my card and left the money (a nice person ran after me and gave me it though).

I really shouldn't be allowed out by myself.

Aaaaaaaaargh "baby brain" really works my nerves. I am quite as capable of thinking as I was before I got pregnant and people assuming I have baby brain really really pisses me off.
I DO NOT HAVE BABY BRAIN, MY BRAIN WORKS JUST FINE

I agree Fibilou - 'preghead' equally annoying word. AIBU to think it's sexist? - if a sleep-deprived new father was a bit forgetful at work no one would accuse him of 'baby brain'.

My manager calls me "Preggers". I know she doesn't mean it in a bad way because she is absolutely lovely and the sweetest person you could want to meet but I still hate it !

Well I have no other explanation for my muddle headedness. I am usually pretty sharp (well I like to think so). But the same thing happened when I was pregnant with DS. I had to stop driving because I pulled out of the driveway and simply couldn't remember what to do next.

It is like there is a great big black hole where my "processing" abilities used to be. Everything just goes quiet and I can't think. Like a long term brain fart.

Only ever had it when pregnant.

Thought the whole concept was bollocks. Now 6 months pregnant and yesterday got lost on way to hairdressers I've been going to every month for last 12 years.
Seem to have forgotten how to drive properly too. Tis worrying.
