Aibut to spit in my husbands mug before handing him his coffee?

I am pretty pissed off with dh. He has had a blister cold sore for the last two weeks. I dont get them. I have worked very hard to avoid them for the last 15 years we have been with eachother.

So today, I cooked dinner, I put the filter coffee maker on, we ate, he was standing next to the coffee maker and I asked "Would you mind pouring me a cup?"

He does, I thank him and start drinking.

He then says "Now, where is my cup"
Then he looks at me... He has given me the cup he has used since the morning.

I am litterally spitting feathers.

I told him next time I have a stinking cold I am going to blardy spit in his coffee.

Aibu?

It's the male fuckwit gene. My dh once accidentally served up my dinner on the plate he had used to prepare raw chicken. I was approx 7 months pg at the time. He couldn't understand why I was cross.

What good would that do? I'm sure you've exchanged a variety of body fluids over the years. Saliva being the least of them.

If you have not come out in cold sores by now, you are very likely immune to the virus.

Dirty cup is different matter, however I would imagine you will have exchanged bodily fluids with your DH before .
Not as yuck as recent thread about wiping bathroom with same cloth as used inside the toilet previously...

Maybe you are immune to herpes if you have not had one and he gets them regularly?

It is quite yukky to give you a dirty cup.

NO! He has running coldsores? and he gave you his cup? YANNNNNNNNBU

MY DH gets them, I've been with him 10 years and avoided them too.

When he has one, even a tingle, DH wouldn't dream of coming near me, clearly identifies and isolates his towel, makes sure he says which cup etc he's using and pours boiling water in his cups when he's done.

If My Alpha-male, traditional roles (I do 90% of everything) can do that, there's no excuse.

YANBU... spitting in his cup is mild revenge.

whack some zovirax on your lips anyway and some alcohol gel while you are at it.

Why is it so yuck that he gave the OP his cup?

Do you all use clean cups for every single cup of tea/coffee you ever have? Even when you've just had one? He probably thought it was her cup.

I top up my coffee in the same cup but if I made more coffee later on in the day, I'd use a clean cup

famished ass, do you get them? I do and they're revolting and it would be awful if I passed it on to any of my family. I didn't kiss my firstborn for 10 days when he was tiny because I had one. (I got it the day after he was born. I couldn't kiss him on his 1 week birthday, his 2nd day in the world etc etc. Awful).

Gob in his coffee. Or give him threadworms....

I do get them, all the time, I don't know anyone who gets them more than me.

My dh of 20 years and my 3 kids have never had one. Which is what makes me think you're either immune to the virus or your not. I mean, I don't think it spreads by contact.

I get them when I am run down, often just before I get a cold, about 2 - 3 times a year.

DH gets them in his nose when he has a cold, from too much noseblowing I presume.

The DC have never had one.

When dh had shingles, ds1 got chicken pox shortly after, and as I was pregnant the doctor did a blood test. He found I was immune, although I have never had chicken pox. It is the same virus isnt it?

Hmm, no. I think that one is Herpes Zoster and the other is Herpes ... something else.

I read up on it when my Mum had shingles. I think that they are related but not sure if their is a connection.

I however, was a poor innocent child when a well meaning pestilence riddled aunt cursed me with the cold sore lurgy in the form of a wet slobbering kiss.

Not that I still dream about it...or feel bitter or anything.
