maybe you should not buy more than one colour play do if it irritates you that much?

i presume you are joking, right?

MrsBadger · 27/10/2009 12:41

I don't buy it

we make it one colour at a time

Playdoh as an invention, makes me roll my eyes, bloody awful stuff. My dd and suwoo's dcs managed to cover the floor in it within about twenty seconds yesterday.

I think it's one of those hideous toys that are sent to try us. If it bothers you that much, don't buy it.

I bloody hate the fact that every shoe I own has a playdough stuck to the bottom. DD has also started transporting it to every room in the house, just incase a toy requires feeding, which inevitably means lumps trodden into the carpet in our RENTED house.
And as for that burger bar.....

Still love the smell though

YABU

It's meant to be a sludge grey colour

I'd be worried about a pre-schooler who kept colours separate, tbh...

I don't buy it and don't allow anyone to buy it.

They have some at school and had it at Kindergarten.

Let someone else scrub the devils stuff off the soles of all the shoes in the house and try to get it out of the dog's fur.

I hate playdoh. And I hate it when i see all the colours mixed up. Becasue then it is basically ruined. Thats why we nerver had it at home, and if it was ever bought as a present, I exchanged it.
But it never worried me, becasue I knew that ds1(now at school), and ds2 has just started nursery, both of them 2.5 days, loved it and got their fix of it.
so not a problem.
if you hate it, send your kid to nursery and let them deal with the mixed up colours.
I did !!

Playdough is the most vile substance ever. Nursery playdough is anyway.

Playdough is banned in my house. Horrible, stinky messy stuff. And I don't care if my dds are psychologically disturbed from not having access to it.

No Playdoh in this house. It stinks and makes me want to barf.

Ergo, no sludgey-brown Playdoh related woes for me.

Although, there will be plasticine related woes in the not-too-distant future. So,a YANBU on the sludgey-brown front.

I entirely agree. My DD (2.10) does this and whilst I know she can't really be expected to keep them apart it does irritate me. However, same goes for all these craft/baking projects. EVERY time I have a mental picture of the two of us sitting at the table happily making leaf print pictures or baking fairy cakes and the reality is that within moments I am tense and moaning and saying, 'No, not like that. Shall I do it? Please let mummy help you. Look at all this mess. WILL YOU JUST GIVE IT TO ME!!'.
