Can't we even mention that lovely smell when they've just woken up and their hair is like warm silk?

(I'm ancient and satisfy my broody urges by looking after twin babies one morning a week)

We've been TTC number 2 forever, so seeing ladies with big bumps in RL is getting a bit , but I love coming here to coo over the more safely-distant snuggly new ones.
And imagining I can smell that yummy smell.

YABU!

disenchanted - i keep telling myself babies are teeny they fit in really small spaces lol. I find it helps if you ignore the fact they get bigger. Seriously though we proba do have the room and just about the money (as long as it doesnt mind wearing hand me downs!) but I really really want to lose wieght - I need to lose about 2 stone before i will consider it.

although I really really want to breastfeed. I didnt with my first two and with my third I did half and half ( I was really nervous) I LOVED it and had no problems at all so I keep thinkg it would be so nice to totally breastfeed next time. probably the stupidest reason ever to have a baby lol

snap about the car though I have a giant red pushchair instead

Wow you could be me!

seaglass thats exactly what my husband says along with " why lose weight when you are going to be huge being pregnant anyway" cheeky man.

I am worried about "l" but thats another one of the many things i try to forget about. I keep telling myself that after three they should get up and walk out.

disenchanted I think most of my family are expecting me to have another since they are all at roughly 2 year intervals. They might think im mad but who cares they are not the sanest of people either!

YANBU....I'm (just - 6 weeks) pg with dc3 and already making noises about dc4. DH is not buying it. I think he is BVU, even tho I always said I only wanted 2....

Report
Lexilicious · 19/10/2009 11:23

just out of interest, all you who have three and not-so-secretly want a fourth, was it the same when you had two and wanted the third? I say that because I and Mr Licious definitely want two, but I wonder whether we will be that disciplined when #2's not a baby any more.

I too am very broody- have no room, too small a car, not enough money for DC4...

DS has just started school, DD1 just started nursery, DD2 is nearly 8mths....

Think i'm gonna be a surrogate for some friends, and to have that 'pregnant glow' and all the nice bits of pregnancy...

DH wants to get the snip but i'm secretly longing for a 4th in a few years- but life is just dandy right now with the 3 of em... dont wanna spoil things!!

Report
cantmummyhaveabreak · 19/10/2009 11:44

Lexi- We said no more than 2... had DS and then DD1 was a surprise 'honeymoon' baby, they were only 15.5mths apart, was tough but well worth it. Then i was going to be a surrogate but things kinda went wrong and i was all in the mindset for a pregnancy, and we'd kinda already decided we'd like a 3rd somewhere down the line... so we started TTc for DC3, and 3mths later fell PG- was a hellish PG, and she was born prem but was worth it in the end.

Now i'm wanting to try surrogacy again and i know when i'm 'done' i'll most likely feel broody again, even though i dont actually want any more now.... But DH REALLY REALLY doesn't want another and has got an app for the snip... suppose there's always sprem donors if i'm that desperate

Cherry- when PG with DS (DC1) i had hyperemesis and was sick up until labour with him... with DD1 was plain sailing all the way through... with DD2 had hyperemesis till about 22weeks, had SPD from around wk 9 to wk 26 then had a premmy born at 32weeks (with a show a week before and waters breaking 5 days before she arrived)- real hellish time but was defo worth it, even with the other 2 DC's when i was PG- i'd do it all again in a flash!!

It is a very dangerour point, we need a bigger house, bigger car and bigger salary yet am almost 12 weeks with no4 but this is DEFINITELY the last one!

Report
Winibaghoul · 19/10/2009 13:06

cherry while pregnant with ds I had hyperemesis throughout, killer heartburn, spd, insomnia and restless legs. Ended up in hospital because I was dehydrated from all the vomiting etc. We're ttc #2 now. As people say, just because you have it in one pregnancy oesn't mean you'll have it in later ones.

I've found the pregnancies get worse the more you have or it could be getting older and becoming a whimp, but I feel like shit already, 6 weeks in.
Don't do it lol

Become a childminder! That will satisfy broody urges

I started childminding in April, not broody anymore, lol. Alhough, I suppose it's different for me though as I only have one child.
