I suppose it depends on whether you view a 'tache as a thing of beauty. grin

BloodRedTulips Sat 17-Oct-09 18:40:14

for all we know it's a new fashion thing... within a few weeks every trendy young thing on the highstreet will be sticking hairs to her upper lip if she can't grow her own.

think of the money the beauty industry can make.... 'tache straighteners, 'tache curlers, 'tache extensions, 'tache mascara.... it's an untapped well of consumerism

jalopy Sat 17-Oct-09 18:41:29

....and your point is?

teameric Sat 17-Oct-09 18:41:49

this made me grin and YANBU btw.

Ah, this reminds me of the woman advising me about 'natural foundation' at boots last week. The irony of her day glow foundation sadly passed her, but not me, by.

However, Y (and I ) ABU

The sort seen on 15 year old boys? That would be a few straggly hairs then grin

TrillianSlasher Sat 17-Oct-09 19:02:55

But didn't you hear? Moustaches are back!

bigchris Sat 17-Oct-09 19:05:07

she might have a weekly struggle with it and just this week hadn't got round to attending to it

her boss can't exactly tell her to shave it off can he/she?

hormonstersnomore Sat 17-Oct-09 19:06:31

Oh, I hope moustaches are in fashion now - then I could forget the waxing grin

Maybe we could also start a trend in beards?

Tidey Sat 17-Oct-09 19:09:23

Maybe she's working to bring down the beauty industry from within. Customers see someone who isn't exactly their idea of beautiful, they don't buy the products she's ostensibly selling, she goes home rubbing her hands in glee about diddling Fax Mactor out of £57 worth of cold cream.

Or maybe what bigchris said?

FABIsInTraining Sat 17-Oct-09 19:09:29

Reminds me of the woman advising me what to wear on the make up counter. Couldn't take her seriously with her electric blue eyeliner.

BouncingTurtle Sat 17-Oct-09 19:09:46

So does anyone else think that Alan Podrill would look like a girl if it wasn't for the moustache?

BB - how do you know the beauty counter person wasn't a very feminine looking bloke wink

pagwatch Sat 17-Oct-09 19:09:47

Look
I have to get my lippy somewhere. and i feel more at home if lady behind the counter understands my look

BouncingTurtle Sat 17-Oct-09 19:10:32

I am referring to the block in the picture by Alan, I thought it was him at first!

pjmama Sat 17-Oct-09 19:22:59

As long as she didn't have a full and manly beard, I don't think it would bother me too much. grin

madamearcati Sat 17-Oct-09 19:31:03

ooh bitch-ee !!

Tombliboobs Sat 17-Oct-09 19:45:51

grin @ pagwatch

how unkind

TheProvincialLady Sun 18-Oct-09 18:03:11

The beauty industry just can't win can it? Everyone is always moaning that clothes aren't modelled on 'real' size 20 women and that anti ageing creams are advertised by 13 year old girls....so now they start using bearded hairy lipped women on the beauty counters and you complain?hmm
